Take That Wall Down!!!

So, out of frustration, I decided to take some walls down. In previous posts I have made it clear that we are living in the house, getting to know it, and discoving it's quirks and oddities.

We removed the "nose" closet and now the window lets in tons of light and the front hall feels balanced. We also removed a big portion of the wall between the dining room and the kitchen. Again, far more light.
Things we have discovered....the dark wood beams have twisted a bit due to nature. The roof sections are not all the same width. The two front windows are different sizes. Lots of light comes into the dining room now. I want a two sided fireplace.
Now that we know the floor plan the next big decision will be the floors. Tile, hardwood, poured concrete? Too many choices. Once floors are decided then we move to kitchen cabinets and countertops.

I have to keep reminding myself this is a slow flip. This is not our forever house. I am sticking to a budget in hopes of getting a heafy ROI in 5 or so years. While I would be a bit more mod or stylish, the next buyer needs practicality. Balance, Emily, Balance. After all, I am a Libra.
