Impact 100 Chicago

I must say, I am very proud to be a part of this amazing group of women. For those of you who know me, I like to volunteer. I LOVE to volunteer. The feeling I get knowing I have helped someone or have furthered a good cause is like a drug. A volunteer "high". With my busy work schedule and my kids all aging out of volunteer needs at school, I have been missing the opportunity to help. Directly help. I do support various organizations as well as get my hands "dirty" directly occasionally however I was looking for a more meaningful, impactful, and direct way to share my knowledge and money.
Impact 100 Chicago is the perfect fit for anyone wanting to make a difference. You can donate money and be done or you can join a committee and be apart of the grant review or financial review. You can do site visits or you can do it all. Give as much time and effort as you are able. The Chicago Tribune wrote a piece on Impact 100 that sums it up nicely. The final event in June where they award the grants is a must. This is where all the hard work of the volunteers and the non-profits pays off. It is life changing for the donors and it is life changing for the recipients. It is truly an Impact for everyone involved.
